This Version of You follows a couple through the private space of trauma surrounding recurrent miscarriage. The work is both psychological and deeply visceral. Two recorded versions of a poem are read by Pruitt at the beginning and end of the work. The text and arc of the piece shares insight into the transformation from mourning what could have been, to finding solace in the love and commitment of a spouse. This Version of You is about having the courage and belief that you can return from dark places if you remember the love you have.
