With & Without
With & Without reflects on the experiences of loss. The work explores the extremes of sensation that one experiences during grief ranging from arduous numbness to explosive physicality. With & Without pushes the boundaries of proscenium work by deliberately using the most downstage portion of the stage and dancing literally over and off the edge of the stage. The space of unknown off the stage edge brings the characters in the piece in confrontation with their fear, vulnerability, sense of security, lack of control and ultimate fate which they cannot escape.
